An Annual Affair

What is IFP Week?

A week of meetings, screenings, talks, meet-ups, and exhibitions centered on cutting-edge independent content for the big screen, small screen, and Internet. Who will be there? Bigwigs, hotshots, rising stars, producers, content creators, innovators...and YOU.

Formally known as the IFP Market, IFP Week is the oldest and largest forum in the U.S. for the discovery of new projects in development from both established filmmakers and new voices on the independent scene. Where's it at? IFP's home base, the made in NY Media Center, and all over Brooklyn.

How Can I Participate?

Want to attend IFP Week but unsure what role you play? IFP Week has programming for everyone, from public conferences and parties for the community to private meetings and screenings for creators and industry leaders.

A lot’s changed in the forty years since we held our first conference, but our belief in the power of storytelling is stronger than ever. That’s why we’re expanding North America’s largest marketplace for independent film, video and web projects to include audio and immersive experiences. We don’t care how you choose to tell the next genre-defying, mind-expanding, boundary-breaking story; we just care that it gets told.

Filmmakers, artists, and storytellers cross paths with people and companies that help move their projects forward.

Th IFP Project Forum is dedicated to stories of all shapes and sizes. The program nurtures both emerging and established artists by providing creative and business opportunities to groundbreaking storytellers working in a wide variety of formats. Applications are closed for 2018 IFP Week.

Industry insiders get to discover new talent, new projects, and new ideas from around the world.

The Industry delegates at IFP Week are able to meet with bold talent and exciting projects through curated meetings with 150 new feature, documentary, series and VR projects from over 22 countries. It is a must-attend event for financiers, distributors, producers, executives and festival programmers to access bold, original talent early. Industry Registration for 2018 IFP Week will open in July.

Get connected, entertained, and noticed.

The IFP Screen Forward Conference explores the art and business of 21st century storytelling. Whether stories are told through film, TV, online, or new media channels, the Conference is the premiere place to interact with experts on how to connect with audiences and use new models to expand your story’s reach and sustain a long-term career. Programming for the Screen Forward Conference will be announced starting in Summer 2018.
